Glad to see that its catching on (though I am not sure if Gelford is proud or shocked)

Hehe ... I'm not shocked, as long you are aware that what you are doing is not particulary good poker, but you are getting away with it because villians in generel have no clue what they are doing

At some point you'll start to struggle, but whether that will happend at 50NL or 400NL depends on how well you table select and your postflop skill etc, so all in all as long as you're not bored and don't lose sight of the fact that you're just feeding of mediocre villians, have fun

TBH all I want to do is be rolled for 50NL and then really start to develop my game.

Villain standard TAG reg, say 22/15/2. Hero has been lively but by no means 3betting too much.

What does this cmr mean? Presumably it's a bluff/tester of my cb almost never? Like 5% of the time or something?

Tx.

I am REALLY struggling with medium overpairs, anywhere from TT to QQ. In 3bet pots when the flop comes low, unsuited, and pretty meaningless I'm just getting killed by bigger overpairs and I don't really know how to avoid it.

Is there any real way of getting away from a hand like JJ or QQ on a 236r flop in a 3bet pot where I was the one that 3bet? I always talk myself into a push or calling a push since there are a bunch of lower overpairs that might be getting frisky but MAN its not working out well at all.

Can you guys do me a favor and please check your standard deviation number in ptbb in poker tracker? You can find it in Session Notes -> More Details

Thanks in advance

Standard deviation as well as other long-term statistics doesn't really make sense at uNL since beginners undergo quite some changes with respect to style and when they have found their style they then move up before statistical significance develops.

47 Lifetime, 40 for the last 50k hands, 36 for the last 10k hands.

Can't find my standard dev, not important though, I only have 20k hands so far.

But what really struck me as disturbing today was when I noticed the amount of rake I'm being charged.
I knew it'd be a lot compared to the stakes, but this just feels silly.

20,548 hands at Stars .25/.50
Amount won: $416.55 (2.03 ptbb/100)
Rake: $768.40

Seems like there is no point in playing cash games until I have a decent roll for .50/1 or 1/2.

There is absolutely no point to play stars at 50NL, you are right. Switch to FTP or UB and double your WR
