Why Tony? Why? You have to go to the bullpen sometime, don't you? What could you have possibly been thinking?

San Diego scores 4 in the top of the 7th to take a 6-5 lead (and still batting).

The Astros have already won their game.

I'd really be scared if I were a Cardinals fan.

i can at least fathom trusting (damaged) carp to pull off a grounder/double play on 1 out more than the pen, but once it got to 2 outs i can't see any reason to have him keep pitching.

If the Cardinals blow the division, is this big enough to finally cost La Russa his job?

going on gut, i kinda doubt it. jocketty and larussa have a strange thing going, and jocketty just got renewed.

they can easily blame it on the izzy/edmonds/eckstein injuries, only having 1.5 pitchers, etc even though people who actually watched the games could see things differently.

HOW MANY [censored] TIMES ARE WE GOING TO SCREW UP THAT PLAY BETWEEN HOME AND THIRD THIS YEAR?

we still got the home out, but it seems like every goddamn time they've got somebody trapped the catcher releases too soon, somebody drops a ball, and hijinx ensue.

it's pretty sad when 1 runner is in scoring position with 2 outs and you're seriously excited at the prospect of a home run tie. that's about all we've been given lately.
