CP from the other CT, really need some help:

Can someone please, please, please provide some solid advice on tilt control (or links to helpfull posts)?

I think I've tilted away ~10-15k (rough estimate) so far this year and I'm down after >20k hands in May.

I suck with the search function. I'm looking for dbitel's 3 betting the flop vs. check raising the turn theory post. Anyone got a link?

PLayed 2-5 NL last night at the Borg. Final tally -1k. Basically didn't get any cards (no pair higher than JJ, not sets flopped).

Only two big hands I had were JJ in which I 3-bet an UTG opener who called the 3-bet with 86o and flopped two pair and then in another hand I flopped top two with 67 in a limped pot, turned a boat, got all in vs another guy who'd limped JJ and ofc the river is a jack.

Every time I try to move up, whether online or live, I get reemed by 2 outers. Back to grinding at 1-2NL so I can cash out another 1k to take and play 2-5NL live.

FWIW the players at 2-5NL live are still really really bad. Even the TAG's are too weak and extremely unimaginative. If only I could've gotten some [censored] ing cards.

Also, I still need up to 4k on Absolute in return for Poker Stars cash. I'll do any transfer I can get because making the change via 300 dollar increments with epassporte will force me to kill myself.

shpanko,

fwiw, i don't think you have to "build a roll to move up" when playing live. at borgata, the 5/10nl there plays like 1/2 online imo.
