i cant stand school right now.

didnt want to post this in a separate thread, but any ideas here? i'm totally unfocused, my grades are slipping, i dont really care anymore about school. i dont really think i'm depressed, i just cant stand this school life, the daily grind, its soooo [censored]. yes, i've read jigs/ads' posts (both excellent). i just dont think i have enough balls to take a year off or whatever.

maybe i should talk with my counselour or parents about this. these classes/etc/dorm/dorm food/grind is really getting to me.

so...ssnl. help me. take a year off? go travel somewhere? I HATE SCHOOL

Do any of you guys play HU sngs. I played 4 of them tonight (winning all 4) at very low levels (10+0.5). They each took about 4 minutes from start to finish. Is this typical? Does the play improve with higher buy-ins? This could be my new thing.

Why not take the summer and get away from poker/internet/school and just travel for a few weeks? It'll clear your head and allow you to think for a while about life and stuff. If traveling makes you happy, take the fall semester off and continue at school in the spring semester.

I was in your shoes last year. I was just tired of my situation, I mean you are going on 15 years of the same damn thing. So during hte summer, I took time off. I only worked about 10-15 hours a week, and frankly for the first time took life a lot less serious. I realized im only young once and I better enjoy it. I stopped worrying about making myself look like an all star for future employers and did what I wanted to do. It felt good and was really theraputic. I came into school this year feeling more relaxed and now I enjoy it more than ever.

50 days left till school is out and i am stressed as well... especially since i just realized i don't want to major in business anymore and my first 2 years of school were somewhat wasted... also i am transfering
