Hell, if it's a K high flop you're even more likely to get a street or two of value from them. and that doesn't include the times that you stack AJ or AQ here that would otherwise be scared away from the 4bet preflop. |

can someone link me to some good discussion on why playing a TAG style we want to 4bet shove AK pf to me it seems 4bet shoving AK is more about our table image than opponent's range, as our image will greatly influence their calling range. i guess it's something to do with balancing our play? infact, in position, they're likely to lead into you with QQ on that flop to see where they're at. a lot of people would even consider that standard

I went through a phase of shoving AK preflop like crazy. I got called by KTo, Q9o, 66, etc. etc. I think I lost like all of those, and I stopped doing it. Anyway, the point is people call shoves with nutty nutty stuff, they're retards and don't think about ranges, and the nice thing about AK is you're rarely in bad shape, though you're also rarely in great shape, so welcome to variance.
