I have no idea.

ok, lets try it a 3rd way. somebody out there magically knows if a current player on the Colts has taken HGH (a PED which the NFl does not test for). he's going to ask you "has any Colt ever taken a banned substance", and you need to pay him $10,000 if you're wrong, and you get $10,000 if you're right. you HAVE to answer the question. which way are you going?

I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they actually get caught, regardless of what team they play for.

thats all nice and well, but ultimataly naive

I'm not Noodle but I'll answer. I'd guess there are 5 out of 53 using drugs the are banned. I have no facts nor any inside information, but you really seemed to want an answer.

I don't get this attitude. Football is an business, and this business has rules for their employees. Harrison (and others) broke a rule and got punished.

If the NFL says "YOu have to wear SCUBA flippers while playing", you'd better put them on. If you don't want to dress like a duck, don't play in the NFL. Everyone knew the rules and consequences.

I understand football is about being the strongest and fastest, but simply because those are qualities that PEDs confer doesn't justify breaking the established rules.

Cody,

I agree with what your saying and will never say using PED's is ok. But, my problem comes that it filters down into the college game. I feel like the more the NFL players use them the more NCAA players will. If a grown adult wants to take the risks involved with the majority of PEDs, I don't really care, so what that they put 55 pounds on their bench and -.1 on their 40 time. I just hated walking into locker rooms and seeing track marks on half the team.

Nobody is saying Harrison was "right" or that he was justified in doing what he did.

Slightly off topic: Today I was at Barnes and Noble perusing through what I thought was SI, only to find it was SI for kids..lol.

Anyway I saw a poll in there that said "What is the worst thing a pro athlete could do?"

57% said Steroids
32% said get busted doing a 'serious crime'
11% said gamble on their sport and other misc. stuff.

I think this is hilarious that the Steroid Scandal has inundated the American sports-loving society to such an extent that kids actually have been brainwashed into thinking steroids are worse than a "serious crime". And yes, I know steroids are illegal so technically it's a crime or whatever but I think this poll speaks volumes.

They are completely different things. From what I've read, there isn't any proof that HGH is even helpful unless used along with steroids.
