grey this was your best post ever.

Please start an Ask Me About Shortstacking thread in SSNL.

People who berate/whine about sstkers without contributing to the discussion of how to combat them are just as useless to this community as the shortstackers that don't share their strat secrets.

The more people talk about this constructively, the better we will be at pwning the games. Sadly, they aren't gonna get better anytime soon.

Here... I'll make it simple what your argument is.

1) SSers want to be in 2p2.
2) SSers abuse an inherent flaw in the games.
3) 2p2 despises abusing inherent flaws in the games.
4) 2p2 despises SSers.

Now this is great if we could assume 2/3 were true.

The real fact is that most 2p2ers don't even know what makes a good SSer apart from a bad one or how to adjust and they just mindlessly blather things like "they don't affect me" or "my game is so sublime it is impervious to abuse".

Serious question: Would you prefer that SSers keep quiet about it here or that they went somewhere else and posted strat etc?

thremp:

you're not v good at shortstacking.

also i'm 90% sure that most shortstacks consistently share information + tell each other about good seats.

the problem with contributing information on how to beat shortstacks is that A: shortstacks all read it and can adjust and B: that information lays out how to be a profitable shortstack. furthermore, 'beating' shortstacks is such a tiny part of real players' winrates that it's not a big deal - much more worthwhile to study how to beat the best TAGs at your limit, not the 20BB short bus guys. The problem is when shortstacks chase off fish at good tables because they have no clue how to play fullstacked - that's just a joke that they pass on +++EV situations because they don't know how not to play robot poker.

I think Grey's post is very accurate - most people don't know just how hard it is to be a successful shortstack. there's a ton of math involved.

wow seriously yea.

curtains,

one of the biggest annoyances i have with ratholers is that they exploit a basic flaw in the game and still want to remain a part of a community (2p2) that despises them.

[/ QUOTE ]

curtains has probably contributed more to 2p2 than everyone in this thread hating on him combined tbh.
