Re: a crash course in prenups
[ QUOTE ]
Prenups should be required by law. Yes, another law to protect the stupid, but love makes otherwise smart guys do stupid things. Plus, it'll help clean up the court system from all the divorce proceedings. [/ QUOTE ] wouldn't it just be easier to redefine the terms of the civil union as recognized by the state than it is to make a law concerning divorce. besides, even acknowledging divorce would make a neocons head spin off. |

[ QUOTE ]
...Ill do whatever she asks of me while we are married, if she decides she wants to break that vow, than I will feel no guilt after the fact. [/ QUOTE ] What if you were the one that breaks that vow? Also, just to get back to the OP: pre-nups should be mandatory, then all the awkwardness is taken out if it. There is never a reason not to have a pre-nup. |

When their daughter turned 18 and went to college, they agreed he would send the alimony check directly to the daughter since child support ended and she would need the cash. I realize that this is naive, as Im only human, but if I truly thought things were my fault it would change my tune. |
