I've said it before and I'll say it again...Stringer Bell is the smoothest MFer evarr!

Lester Freamon is always solid. Bunk has some of the best dialogue and Omar is just a true baller!

Damn this list is lacking:

Most overlooked- Bodie, easily the first person I empathized with while watching.

Most underappreciated- Gotta be Frank Sobotka from Season 2. Arguably the most full-circle character from the whole thing. Stop sleepin' on Season 2, lotta build up/anticipation, but definitely fills out all voids.

I always loved Wee-Bay. Not only was he funny with it but gangsta to the end. Damn I wish they could/would use him more.

Loves me some Snoop!

All of those kids: Namond, Randy, Dukie, Michael all sooo damn good. Special props to the lil boy who plays Donut, hehehe!

I cant name just one so here is my top 5 in no order,

Avon-Whoever said he is the most boring villian is crazy ,the scene where he goves cutty 15 grand for the gym might be one of the best scenes of the show and what about where him and String are giving each other up at his place if Avon was in season 4 more people would list him but seasons 1-3 Avon and Stringer are the MVP's of the show.

Bunny,Omar,Bodie and Stringer round out my top 5.

Well, String has always been my favorite. I was worried season 4 would suffer without him, but it was still fantastic. Avon is another top fiver for me and him not being in season 4 as well is really a testament to how great this show is.

I love Omar just like everyone else. He is withiot a doubt the funniest character. I'm also a big Marlo fan. He and Avon are both stone gangsters, but very different people. No flash or real ego from Marlo. He is just a cold and ruthless [censored] that is very effective.

Spiros was my favorite of the new characters in season 2, but its hard to list someone as one of your all-time favorites with them basically only appearing in one season.

None of the cops can compare to these guys IMO, which is in no way a slight towards them.

Marlo is pretty sweet. "You want it to be one way, but it's the other way."

Frank Sobotka is my pick. A truly great tragic figure of American drama. The scene where he yells at his lobbyist about drinking Tang is awe-inspiringly fantastic.
Prezbo and Bodie are remarkable for their character development, but I'd spoil S4 to go into more detail.


I also hate Brother Mouzone. Comic book character, just too overplayed.

My favorite String line, which is IMO way underrated, is in Season 3 when Bodie meets him at the waterfront. Bodie tells him he got arrested and Stringer tells him "You shouldn't sell drugs." Brilliant.

Nah, you didn't even include the rest of the scene that makes it so awesome. Bodie goes and tells him he got rounded up by the cops, and Stringer tells him, 'You shouldn't sell drugs'. Bodie looks confused for a second, then lifts up his shirt to show he wasn't wired, then they talk about business as usual.

People have commented on the development of Prez and Bodie, but I think another character that has really developed nicely from season 1 is Carver.

Definitely S1.... one of my favorite intro themes ever. The closing theme ain't half bad either.

The music to s2 is by far the best, but it's totally ruined by the singer's Grover impression. I'd also give the overall crown to s1.
