I've actually seen a couple of these during the 6pm/7:30 reruns during the weekdays. Most of the episodes you say are good cannot compare to the genius of the first half of the series.

OK OK... I'm using poor grammer. Replace 'a couple' with 'enough to get a good feel of how the seasons are going and 'most' with 'most of the episodes I've seen'.

Just came back from the midnight screening. It was a lot better than I expected. Every character had a good joke in it and not just some line. Moe's jokes where probably the best ones. Very good movie, might go watch again.

It's pretty much what I expected. There are parts that make you laugh, and parts that remind you that the Simpsons isn't what it used to be. The opening sequence is really good. Overall it's a fairly enjoyable movie.

I would agree with this. I also think kids could see the movie, most sex jokes they wouldnt understand anyway, and the phew inappropriate gestures would be hard to catch for a 5 year old. They would probably like it.

Definitely irrelevant right now, if you ever consider that figure relevant. The people who saw it overnight are the biggest fans of them all and are no doubt grading it on a very generous curve.

That said, it's good to see that only one person thus far in this thread has given it a negative review. And that person posted in bold for some reason, so I think less of that opinion now.
