Re: Property: What Can You Buy For $500,000?
I'm just kind of curious for anyone else that lives in an area with a lot of new construction.
In Northern Virginia it is VERY VERY common for a house to have a brick front, and vinyl siding on the other three sides of the house. Are there any other areas that do this? I think this is so ugly, and just looks like crap, but for some reason builders around here have been doing it for the last 10-15 years or so. |

Re: Property: What Can You Buy For $500,000?
Seattle, WA
$490,000, 3 bed 1 bath, single family home. 1570 sq. ft, built in 1954. $459,950, 4 bed 3 bath 2130 sq. ft. built in 1928 Hmm, that last one is in a pretty decent area and it's reasonably priced. Anyway, a decent house in the city of Seattle (and not Shoreline or some other [censored] suburb) will cost you $350,000 - $600,000. When I lived in Cleveland you could get a really nice house for $200,000. But then you have to live in Cleveland, I guess. |
