Okay then, what is the best show in TV History?

I'd have to vote for Deadwood; to me it's far and away the best written show that's ever been on TV, at any rate, even if it might not be the most important / longest running etc.

A lot of my favorite shows have been cancelled prematurely, though : Firefly, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Carnivale. It's difficult to judge them based on shows that were consistently good or great over the course of a decade or more.
