Note that Chris Paul plays on one of the slowest offenses in the league - they get 89 possessions per game. Bibby got an extra two possessions per game and played 2 more minutes per game. Despite this advantage, Chris Paul leads Mike Bibby in every single counting category - including rebounds, turnovers, and fouls.

PER, which adjusts for team pace and league stats, says Chris Paul's last two seasons have indeed been better than anything Bibby's ever done.

A better comparison would be Kidd, or Stephon Marbury.

but he could also turn into a mid-level serviceable PG like Bibby.

paul is better then bib but... bibby is def more then mid level service, if the west wasnt so strong in pgs (deron, paul, baron, parker, nash, ~cassell) hed be an all star.

you forgot AI. Add in Gilbert, Chauncey, and Jason Kidd and Bibby is at least, what, 11th? He's about an average PG right now.

You do realize he put in all western PGs right?

I'm aware. That's why I separated AI from Gilbert, Chauncey, and Kidd. I find it weird that you have to say, well, if there weren't 8 PGs better than him, he'd be an All-Star! There's a few east pgs better than him, too, and you could argue for other PGs (Barbosa? T.J. CaldeFord? Kirk Hinrich?) Oh, he also forgot Jason Terry.

terry plays the 2
and yeah, you're absolutely right, saying "waa waa too many good players prevent him from being an all star!"
I guess I overvalue him, I just like bibby quite a bit and feel he's a >average player.

I'm a big Bibby fan but he's degraded a bit. But if we're talking 24-26 year old Bibby, then yeah, he was All-Star caliber. Of our current crop of players, he's the best to have never made an All Star team.

Bogut should not be on the list he's getting like 12 and 9 but he's 22 and I don't think he has the upside a lot of other guys do.

Paul>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>> Bibby
