First off, its only 55 million.
Second off, the money is held in segregated accounts and does NOT collect interest.

Of course it collects interest, and Neteller gets to keep it. You think they just have a giant vault with $300 million in cash?

RedLion,

The $55M number is the amount that was seized by the DOJ, not the total amount of money US customers have in Neteller.

Cheers,

Ok, total of $255 million then. I am talking about what US account holders still have in 'trust' accounts, not what was just put in EFTs after the news.....

That $55 million in transit is lost as a bargaining chip by neteller, it is now leverage for the DOJ.

Second off, you have to be joking.

Poker Stars makes similar claims about players funds being held in segregated accounts. Do you believe them?

Does it matter whether we believe them or not? The point is we all benefitted in the past by neteller, whether they kept them in seperate accounts, 1 group account or under some giant mattress.
