How long does it usually take until they are up and running again? 1 hour? More?

this is from full tilt's site:
If the tournament had not yet reached the money - All players still in the tournament at the time of the cancellation will be refunded their tournament buy-in and tournament fee. Players will have their buy-ins refunded in the same currency they used to enter the tournament (real money, tokens, etc.), unless they earned their entry through a satellite, in which case, they will be refunded the standard buy-in for the tournament. In addition, the buy-ins of players already eliminated from the tournament will be divided up and distributed to the remaining players, based on their chip counts. Guarantees and money added to the prize pool will not be included in the player payouts.

i hate full tilt.

edit: jaya is wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

What about if you're in the money and there's a guarantee/overlay?

[/ QUOTE ]

overlay goes back to full tilt, not to the players

If the MTT wasn't in the money yet, everyone gets their buy-in back (regardless of if they busted or not I believe). If it is in the money, payouts are awarded to current position.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not quite. If you were out you've lost the money. Everyone gets their entry fee back. Prize pool portion of the eliminated players get split between those who were left. If you weren't yet ITM this is a straight chip chop. If you were ITM they give whatever the next place would pay to everyone, then chip chop the rest.
