Do you believe that you have the best memory skills (ability to remember folded cards in stud, or to remember previous hands, or to recall the betting sequence, or any other memory-related skill in poker) out of the players at any table you sit at more than half the time? If no, do you believe that you have one of the two best memories at the table more often than not?

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Do you believe that +EV dice control in craps is possible? Without drawing suspicion as to the method of throwing? (I don't mean suspicion from continuously winning. I mean suspicion from not hitting the back diamonds, or otherwise not giving a legitimate-looking throw). [/ QUOTE ] It's illegal. [/ QUOTE ] Really? I can't find anything about this. Can someone confirm/link? [ QUOTE ] But the way to win without drawing suspicion is to hit the wall 85% of the time. Most dice cheats get caught because they won't work on small edges and are unwilling to leave while losing. But with the house edge at .2% you don't need to do much to overcome it in the long run. [/ QUOTE ] 1) Given equal bankrolls, is dice control more profitable than advantage play at blackjack? Including factors such as camouflage, being backed off, etc. 2) Same question, but replace "profitable" with "practical", and include factors such as time-to-expert-status. |

Ok, in that case, last question for a while. Do you find the subject of dice control interesting/fascinating?

In your books, when you refer to certain plays as being worth considering if opponents are "fairly weak", are you referring specifically to players who are generally passive or timid and not just to bad players in general?
I ask because I've noticed some posters here who occasionally back up certain plays against bad aggressive players (especially in multi-way pots) by citing a line in one of your books that speaks about certain plays against "fairly weak" opponents. I can't think an example off-hand, but I know they are out there and some of the arguments struck me as people mis-applying what they read to justify playing more hands, especially out of position or against an early position raiser. |

Is it possible that someone could come up with a strategy for a game like Texas Hold 'em that would be so unbeatable that if published in a book and widely read, the entire game would become pointless like tic-tac-toe?

Do you know of the E. O. Thorp recommendation for a routine that would render every casino shuffle (back in pre-CSM days) for Blackjack un-trackable?
Just Yes or No, please. |

Have you ever bought insurance (not blackjack -- car, health, etc) because you think your expectation is positive?
