Rika,

Based on your posts in this thread, it wouldn't surprise me at all if 5 to 10 years from now you were the richest person among all current 2+2ers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Either that or bankrupt.

Particularly his attitude about how he presents himself in a business transaction. I don't know a lot of people twice his age who are that self-aware.

cbloom,

Bankruptcy is also a definite possibilty, especially if he takes an aggressive growth strategy w/ real estate. But, hey, bankruptcy worked out just fine for Trump...

Right now 23% of people of working class in Spokane make under $10,000 a year.

[/ QUOTE ]

How is this even possible? This is under minimum wage. Do part-time workers count even if they live with someone who makes more?

[/ QUOTE ]

Barely...minimum wage is $5.15/hr.

$5.15/hr * 40hrs/week * 52weeks/year = $10712. So pretty much if you take any time off/arent able to work a 40 hrs every week, you will be below the $10,000/year mark. The $10,000/year could also be after taxes...

[/ QUOTE ]

The stat is based on the fact that not everyone works 40 hours a week, many 18 year olds only work 20 hours, and live with their 18 year old "partner" who also works 20...so in that case their household income may be 15K, but they'd still both count as the "under $10K" group. Cause it's based off of individual income.

Hope that clears up what I was trying to say.

Anything is possible, especially the more I leverage my positions.

I started out not very leveraged, and am going more and more aggressive because I'm getting more and more comfortable with both my abilities and my "feel" for the market.

But...like I said, anything is possible. However I do try to leverage "responsibly" and not over do it.

Only time will tell, I'm sure I'll share my sucess and failures in the future

spacegravy,

If you're looking for a good book about stocks and investing in securities in general, I highly recommend The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham. Some of it can be a little overwhelming but I use this and a couple of finance websites to complement what I learned/am learning.

The other reason is "loans." You see due to my "job" I do a lot of "creative" finanacing. Meaning non traditional, non "bank" loans. Basically what I'm saying, is people who are rich trust that I "know what I'm doing" so they just give me money.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do these peoples names begin with M(om) and D(ad)?

Seriously, rich people just don't give money to 22 year old peoples because they "know what they're doing".
