i got this thing twice, first after installing pt, then again after installing their latest patch.

Interestingly, when i opened pt again tonight after removing the trojan, it asked me to update with their new patch again.

I use MAS and PT. I've never found a trojan on my PC. I installed the new PT patch yesterday. I ran MAS after that. MAS found nothing. I really doubt that PT is your trojan source.

I've been getting this "trojan" for quite a number of weeks now and had been looking into it on my own. I just came across this thread and thought I would add my 2 cents

Just to add to what the consensus seems to be at this point - I believe this to be a false positive.

MAS is the only one showing this as malware (the infamous 34.tmp file). I also have and use: Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, Webroot Spy Sweeper, and nod32 antivirus. These all come up clean.

Also there is a great non-profit site where you can submit a specific file and they run it through about 10 to 15 different malware detecting programs. I submitted the offending file (34.tmp) and it came up CLEAN on all the programs they run it through. BTW, here is a link to the site I used.

Based on all my own testing and the consensus of this board I'm pretty confident this is a false positive.

I also detected this "trojan.backdoor.small.fb" using MS antispyware. I removed it but it comes back the second I start the Party Poker software. Will someone please try the following:

1. Run MS antispy and detect and delete the file "trojan.backdoor.small.fb".

2. Run MS antispy again to ensure the virus is no longer detected.

3. Open and close the Party Poker (or where ever you play) software.

4. Run MS antispyware to see if the file has reappeared.

I sent several email to partypoker support regarding this issue and they will not respond to this problem/issue.

With all due respect, read the rest of the thread. This is covered a number of times.
