Played 1/2 NL at the ISLE, rake is $1-5 max, 10%. New tourneys start the 9th with way better rake, blind structure and chips stacks. $100-350 MTT's one each afternoon one in the evening rake is 16-20% depending on amount. $50 and $100 sng's went off regularly (20% and 15% rake, not great but much better, also better blind structure). $100 buy in max including the 2/4 NL game that was spread around 6pm. Dealer mentioned 24/7 hours were very likely in the near future. Play was very soft though I was card dead. Lots of LAGs, couple truely clueless came and went, one old guy didn't see his straight and nearly mucked it(winning hand). Split 2 big pots and lost half a stack when my trips got flushed. I dropped a $100 over 5 hours most on my last hand. On Button qq bet $10, 2 callers(sb and bb) flop T83 rainbow. I push(about 65 more) knowing I was getting called by at least one AT or even AK, AQ, A8, A3...KTos calls and catches K on turn.

Default Best Bet Report.

I was also at the Best Bet untill about 4pm.
Over heard this
"Oh My GOD this place is a GOLD MINE"
This was from a player that earlier was All-in with 62 of spades with a board of A24 one spade, other player has AK. I bet you can guess how it ended. He got the Runner Runner spade.

Way to many people buying 100 White to play in the NL game. (Alot of the old players think the Reds are unlucky).

They were NOT using Green chips early, don't know if they started later in the night.

There was a line at the Desk most of the day, they were spreading 11 different games and ALL had big lists.
The decesion to spread NL was not made untill Sat, as of Friday they were going to wait a few days. It was expected that they would be spreading at most 5 NL games, there were 6 at 12:10 with more than 40 on the waiting lists. By the time I left at 4 they had 10-12 tables running.

It was really a mad house, but the floor handled it the best they could. And I'm sure things will calm down in the weeks to come.

AS WE ALL SAID THERE ARE GOING TO BE ALOT OF BROKE PEOPLE BY THE END OF JULY...the NL cash games are out of this world.

I have been to Seminole Hollywood, Hollywood Hard Rock and the Dog Track (Mardi Gras). Every where the donks are going crazy. On Saturday night (played from midnight till 7:00 AM) at Seminole Hollywood, I watched them push a $4,100.00 pot to the winner (set of 7s) at the 10/20 NL cash game.

The Seminoles forbid them at all their places here in South Florida, as do all the parimutuels, I think. Probably also up north in Tampa.

Met a friend at HR Hollywood at 4 this afternoon and we put our names on the 2/5NL list. Wait was only about 15 mins, which was good since I had not eaten anything all day. Bad news was the food at HR SUX. Chinese fast food with Heinz yellow mustard....no chinese spicy mustard...but I digress.

We play for about 2 hours...plenty of loose players, probably 3 solid players at our full table. At around 6:30, they tell us that our table must be broken for the multi-table tourney. They don't move us to a new table, they just put us on the "list", which was about 45 mins long. They must figure a better way to handle the switch to their tourneys. I cashed out up $230 and headed home.

The good news is that "headed home" takes me right past the Coconut Creek Seminole Casino. I had never been there, but I figured I might as well check out their poker room. I walked around the casino for about 15 minutes (idiot) before figuring out that the poker room was upstairs. Sat right down in a 2/5 NL game and noticed that there were many fewer donks at CC than at HR.

There was a 5/10NL game where one guy had well over 15K.
Big set over set pot I watched there.

I left at midnight, a nice 8 hr poker afternoon up $400. One guy at our table had over $2000 in front of him when I left...nice job at 2/5. Looking forward to many more evenings of FL poker.

Darin

Played at Gulfstream for one hour and here was my favorite hand, I have Ad Kh there were 3 limpers I raise to 14 sb calls with Ks 5s and bb calls with Qd 10s limpers fold. Flop comes Qs 8s 2s. SB checks BB goes all in for $270 into the $40 pot. I fold, SB calls and stacks the BB.
