Re: biggest guilty pleasure - song/artist
it's almost embarassing how much I like Kelly Clarkson.
Also, Come on Over by Christina Aguilera used to always get stuck in my head although I think I'm cured of that one. |

Song: "Walkin' On Sunshine," Katrina & The Waves
Artist: Hanson. Seriously. Say what you want, but they play and write themselves (well, they have collaboration on some songs), which puts them miles ahead of most Top-40 artists. |

I like that Crash Test Dummies album, "God Shuffled His Feet". Some of those tunes are just great. 90% of the time I skip past "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm" though.

Re: biggest guilty pleasure - song/artist
Haha, I like Abba sometimes too, and even worse maybe? I like The Carpenters. Karen Carpenter's voice is still in another realm. Goddam, who cares what you think of their music, this woman's voice is a catastrophe to the well being of my groin and heart. Screw the lyrics, I don't care. That kind of woman should not be allowed to be alive and not be f*cking me, loving me, whatever.
Okay I said it, so hate me. Screw you! I also love the girl from Garbage singing that "Stupid girl" song." I also like the band Bread. Furthermore, I don't apologize for liking a lot of classical and jazz music and disliking heavy metal and almsot all of what bizarrely falls under the heading of R&B, which has come to be a fantastically meaningless category. I mean, you've got BB King and Brandi in there....?? WTF?? Oh and here's one that's so far out there no one will get it -- when I was a kid, the folks got me records by The Peter Pan Orchestra. They were musical renditions of stories like The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Hans Christian Anderson tales, etc. Damn, I'd love to hear those today. They totally rocked! |

Both the Raspberries and Cheat Trick are completely awesome. [/ QUOTE ] I get The Raspberries mixed up with The Cranberries. "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick is one of my all time favorite rock songs, especially during the years I wasn't getting laid much. Does Jackie Gleason count as a guilty pleasure or is he just too highly regarded to be in this category? ~ Rick |

Rick, Doiminic isn't old enough to realize that The Raspberries were simply considered a Beatles clone during our time.
I think you simply get raspberries mixed up with cranberries. |
