phoenix would be nothing more than a wide-spot in the road if it were not for the so-called outsiders.

Hey, the bottom of Lake Michigan called. It's running out of you.

that's what i thought........good response.

OK that makes no sense at all.

James, Dick Stockton sucks nearly to the point of impossibility, I have no idea how he has a job after all of these years. I'd rather someone fart play-by-play than listen to him wreck every game he broadcasts. But that's just me obv.

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe what he says is dumb, i dunnno - but at least he has feeling behind his calls.

James,

I'm not hating on you mang. Stockton is actually one of the voices of my youth, going back to when he called the NBA on CBS in the 80s (does this take anyone back?). First with Bill Russell, then with Tom Heinsohn, then with the incomparable Hubie Brown. He's just pretty terrible IMO and always seems to state the obvious without adding any insight. He called the MLB for Fox in the early 90s and is back to doing the NBA (I'm sure he's done the NFL quite a bit in the midst of all this). He's just not good. Props to him for banging and marrying Lesley Visser at his advanced age though.

on the rope that zambrano hit to drew stockton said its a shame it was hit so hard because the base runner didnt have enough time to get off of second and get doubled off. Yea if it was a soft pop up he wouldve bolted for 3rd and been caught off of second.

I did not know this. I thought he closed that in the 90s for some reason. Thanks.

Also, thanks Mark Reynolds.
