Not really. I mean, it's aggressive in the sense that talking to chicks is more "aggressive" than most men feel comfortable being, lol.

My take on the PUA community is that it's all about snake-oil salesmen on one hand and actually helping guys to be themselves (and/or become better versions of themselves) on the other. The gimmicks, lines, tricks, and "magic bullets" are used to lure people in to spending money...but on a fundamental level, it's about confidence and experience. Like anything else in life.

Pardon my partial derailment of this, but I've always been interested in the PUA stuff because what I got out of it (and I think many others do, too), is a clearer understanding of how women think and how they react to different behaviors. Good or bad, this massive sample size of interaction with women in so many different ways provides for a really good understanding of what women want, despite what they may or may not say.

In short, I have done a ton of PUA research and reading not because I need to get better at picking up chicks (after all, I'm married, picking up chicks does not go over well with the wife), but because seeing what they succeed with and what they fail with helps me immeasurably in dealing not only with my wife, but in dealing with other women on a day to day basis.

You look much sexier in that 2nd pic

Suzzer's looks are definitely not his problem. He could use better style and consistent grooming though. But his raw looks are not an issue anywhere but in his mind.

yugo - for some reason I feel less awkward asking somebody to come join me for coffee since I was going there anyway than I do trying to get them to give me their phone #.
I'm kind of suzzer-wimpish-like on the phone # scene sometimes for some reason.
"Hey, are you in that much of a hurry. There's a great coffee place I should show you first" would be more my speed.

Also, going along with ElD's idea...I think that saying it as "place I SHOULD show you" could be the better way to go. Instead of saying, "I'm getting coffee anyway. Are you interested in coming?"
First one definitely sounds better to me.

Ray Powers - Yeah, I kind of agree.
I'm not that terribly good at most of this stuff but am definitely better than the insecure, little dweeb I once was and think some of it can definitely translate to other areas and relationships in life.

I'm still learning to respond to stimuli and hold my bottle without it falling out of my mouth. Crawling is quantum mechanics to me.

Suzzer, if you lost 30 pounds you would not need to post this thread.

Working on it. I've been getting up at 5:30 MWF and busting my ass. And on a diet. Cheating some, but not horribly. I'm in a lot better shape, but my 38 year old body DOES NOT want to give up the body fat. Really annoying.

And WOWOWOW if I was 38 and single she would've had to slap me or something to stop hounding her for her number.

When you're that age, I would imagine it's a bit tougher to meet new women.

I mean, a hot chick from brazil agrees to get in your car d00d! You're going to beat yourself up about this for some time would be my guess...
