[ QUOTE ]

1. Is their a (famous) poker player who has a BANKROLL of $1 million or more? NOT ANDY BEAL, HE IS NOT A POKER PLAYER

[/ QUOTE ]

A bankroll of a million? Sure, all of the regulars in "the big game", and I'm sure at least a handful of high-stakes online pros.

[ QUOTE ]

2. Surely there must be - the pros (like Ivey) play high stakes cash games with pots worth millions of dollars. The "rules" of poker would say that they therefore must have an adequate Bankroll of Billion dollars....?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, no one has a bankroll of anywhere close to a billion dollars. No one who has made most of their money playing poker has even $100 million.

Even in "the big game", individual pots don't reach $1 million. The no-limit pots are capped at $100K per player. It is possible to win or lose $1 million in a night in this game, but not in a single pot.

There were pots over $1 million when "the corporation" played Andy Beal, but the bankroll for this was spread among at least ten players.

[ QUOTE ]

3. There is about to be a $10m buy-in Sit n Go with 6 players (Ivey, Gus etc...) which backs up point 2.

[/ QUOTE ]

I doubt such a tournament will ever actually happen. Note that the post you linked to is from 2005.

It is possible that a professional poker player will someday become a billionaire, but they will do so having made most of their money through investments rather than poker. There isn't a billion dollars in the entire high-stakes poker economy.

[ QUOTE ]
I heard on the grapevine that some billionaire poker player is going to take on Todd Brunson at Limit Hold 'em 100k/200k at the Wynn. I think his name was Randy Eel or something.

[/ QUOTE ]

The player in question is Antwaan Randle El, who is not a poker player. Rumor has it billionaire poker player Andy Beal is backing him.

[/ QUOTE ]
Antwann Randle El huh...didn't he win 6 superbowls in 8 years for the chicago bears? woulda probably won 8 in a row if he didn't take that hiatus to play minor league poker...alas, the world's not fair...or sensical
