In September, I offered to bet that the early accusations were essentially correct, that some players had access to other players' hole cards in the hands and tournaments under discussion. I offered to wager $10,000 against Justin West. Not a single one of these people who claimed to believe that the probability was "extremely low" that these accusations was true (Justin West wrote two articles saying the accusations were "stupid") had the guts to put their money where their mouths were, or the integrity to retract their statements after realizing they didn't believe them enough to bet. Money talks, and BS walks.

What is the difference between lying, and trying to convince others of things you don't believe yourself? I have an easier time understanding why Justin West's statements that Pokerpages receives no money from Absolute Poker appeared right next to a flashing Absolute Poker ad on Pokerpages, than I have understanding why he would call the serious accusations stupid, while refusing to bet even for no money, which I also offered.
