Agree with the Dylan electric- this set was released on CD several years ago and is great listening.
And I think that the Beatles drastically but gradually changed. I don't know the album that immediately preceeded Rubber Soul, but I can guess it was the same pop stuff they were playing in the early years. After that, the transition to Revolver and Sgt. Pepper completed the drastic change. If you compare "Meet the Beatles" to "Abbey Road", its pretty drastic. thank goodness. |
