My life is on the line in one big game against a great pressure defense. 1. Brady 2. Montana 3. Peyton...eventhough I'd be sweating it. [/ QUOTE ] No love for Elway? |

[ QUOTE ] peyton = jim kelly? [/ QUOTE ] Huh? Much closer to Marino thus far. [/ QUOTE ] in regards to him managing the game, calling the offensive plays, no huddling, etc. people forget how much of a stud kelly was in that regard. |

[/ QUOTE ] True, he was brilliant and for the most part unselfish; although he should've given Thurman the damn ball on every play against the Giants 2man front. |

Peyton's a great player, but Michael Vick has the potential to be even better. Peyton's already reached his ceiling while I think Vick can still improve a lot. Depending on teammates and offensive system, Vick can be a better player.

Depending on teammates and offensive system, Vick can be a better player. [/ QUOTE ] What? Apologize to reason! Manning is showing that he's still getting better. Fun Stat: 10, that's the number of drives in a row that Manning lead the offense to a score (the first 9 for TDs) over two games. Now it's true it's a team game, but he's obv an important part of this success. Vick on the other hand has shown he's not a great passer (we have 2 games that support he's good, and a ton to speak otherwise) and although he is explosive, he's basically a second running back that teams have shown, can be stopped. He was a hall of famer two years ago, and has piled on 2 MVP caliber seasons since then. He'll have like 8 MVP-like seasons before he's through. Mike Vick is a long shot to even get 2. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's nice, but ask his defense how they like going back on the field every few minutes? The Colts consistently give the time of possession edge to their opponents, hurting their defense and their overall ability to win a game. Whereas Vick can control the clock with his legs and really limit the opponent's possessions. 3000 yds passing + 1000 yds rushing > 4000 yds passing. Manning may be better now, but Vick can still become the better player. |
