Same here, but our situations are probably much different. Since I pretty much hate my dad.

Yes you have. So much of American cuisine is driven by the french, that you mos def have had food that is french in orgin even if not noted as such.

Same here on the I love my mom/dad/siblings. Possibly never will. 'Love' to me means guy/girl. That's not to say I feel that I have a bad relationship with my family, not at all. I guess I just classify it differently. Hadn't even given it any thought until I read this thread.

Nearly 40, lived in the SF Bay Area my whole life and never been to:
- Alcatraz
- Winchester House
- Monterey Aquarium

Also never skiied, snowboarded, or ice skated.
