Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/30 - $50k HORSE - Final Table)
Limit is fun to play, pretty terrible to watch (on tv) with this type of format and especially switching games every two hands. I recall some WPT LHE event being a good view. Stud (all versions) don't work for tv IMO.

Then poker would be fun to watch. |

Maybe they should cap the blinds at a certain point to allow more play.
I enjoyed all the HORSE coverage incidentally |

I've got to say that Norman Chad has improved by leaps and bounds over the last year. [/ QUOTE ] He was in great form for the HORSE tournament! Loved his comment from the FT that went something like "Ooh, it's Razz again! Lower the lights a little, Lon." |

Any word of how the ratings for the horse compared to the main event ratings?

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/30 - $50k HORSE - Final Table)
I cannot understand how such a large part of this poker community doesn't know or play these games. It's weird, to be honest.
And tournament or no tournament, it would have to be some kind of act of God for Hanson to make it that far. There was a Stud 8 hand where he made three abysmal calls in a row that I wouldn't have made when I was TEN years old, honestly. And then there's..."It's poker, Freddy." He should have been trying to be invisible for being so far out of his depth, not provoking actual players. But again, I'd rather watch HORSE forever than watch another NLHE pushfest. If it wasn't clear to you that Deeb was the best (read: only fully competent HORSE) player of the final five or six, you might want to bone up on these games a bit. |

I was glad to see Freddy Deeb win it (I know the results were out ages ago but I didn't read up on them).
