Still plenty of tickets available in Phoenix. WTG fans.

Meanwhile in Denver, the games are sold out and scalpers are being arrested. linky

What you guys think about changing the lineup? Part of me is excited because Willy brings a whole different element, and it may calm Tulo down a bit. But part of me hates messing with what has been working so extremely well.

I'm torn on this -- the 1/2 speed threat at the top is dangerous. Remember when we were top 5 in baseball in steals for a while? If Taveras can get on, with a hot Matsui behind him, we can play havoc with Webb's delivery to the middle of our lineup.

Tulo wasn't as hot in games 2 and 3 as he was before, so maybe the switch works, if he's pressing a little bit, but I'm real nervous about it. Taveras is hitting over .400 against Webb, for what it's worth.

I'm not sure I like messing with success, but really, most of Hurdle's decisions have worked out this year.

Tavares and his bunt single capability could be huge tonight

I think Tulo is more a #5-6 guy in the lineup anyway (will probably move to #7 tonight) as he hits for power and isn't great at getting on base

Ya, Tulo is hitting 7 tonight from all accounts.

I like the speed thing a lot.. just feels crazy to make major (these are not small) changes after such a hot streak.

But if Taveras gets on and can steal second, sac to third, fly ball to score and all the sudden we can manufacture a run in ways we normally can't if we need a run badly.

Either way I'm excited.

rofl at tuq with his stealth avatar.

The ESPN simulations strongly favor the Rockies winning this. But we ain't playing Strat-o-matic here, either. Oh yeah, Taveras is 2-3 in steals against Webb this season.

I do like the switch, but really, all his games against Arizona were in the first few weeks of the season.

ZOMG Strat reference awesome

I'm replaying the 2002 season, I probably won't catch up to 2007 for like 15 years, but, if and when I do, there is like 0 chance that the D-Backs win the division in a replay

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost the game tonight

I would be mildly surprised if we lost the series... I truly feel bullpens are going to be the key so if ours falls apart then we may have a tough series. But if we stay strong in that area I think we win in 5 or 6 games.

That's just it...the talking heads are...the talking heads (but not The Talking Heads, so I'll Stop Making Sense now)

But for what it's worth, a majority of them seem to think the Rockies will win the series but lose Game 1. If it turns out like that, I can live with it, but I think tonight's crucial matchup is Webb vs. Rockies hitters. If he's on, then we probably lose tonight. If he's not, bullpens won't matter.
