Well, easy ones first. It is limit holdem, and if I put in that much action, I am not folding to a cap.

I think the first hand is borderline, so I don't think it matters much if you threebet here or not.

On the second hand, given that it is blind vs blind, I think it is very likely that you are ahead, I can imagine that your opponent would play a set the same way, so I don't even mind getting capped.

I don't think I've given a beat this bad in a VERY long time.

His river just call is pretty hot, but I guess that's why he's a nit.
WOW I was floored when he had that.

I don't remember the exact board or anything, and I'm too lazy to dig thru PT looking for it, but basically this was close to the scenario:

I open AJs in MP, I get 3bet by a solid TAG, folds to me and I call. Flop is QQJ, I check/call. Turn is another Q, I check/call. River is the case Q, I bet and he makes the ultimate crying call with JJ, basically just so he could show me what a suckout I'd just put on.

Might have been a little different, but I do know that he flopped a boat & I runner runnered quads w/A kicker to win.

The whole table is pretty loose. MP2 is very loose, very aggressive (not so much preflop tho), and very bad. UTG is loose, very aggressive, and also very bad.

I'm the BB in a live 6-12 game.

UTG open raises, and everyone calls. I have 97 off, but it's 17-1 to call, so I call.

Flop, AJ9 rainbow. SB checks, I check UTG bets, and everyone calls again. Well, its only 26-1 now, I only need 2 good cards, and I might have more, I call again.

Turn 9. Well, that's one of the good cards, Check, check, UTG bets, folded to MP who raises and is all in, Folded to me, and I threebet. UTG stews for a while, and then folds AK face up. MP and I turn our hands over, and he has J9, River is an Ace, giving us both 9s full of Aces and a chop.

So I went from drawing almost dead on the flop to getting half the pot, when I forced the AK out of the pot.
