My guesses: BCSCG Georgia vs. OSU Fiesta Oklahoma vs. ASU Sugar LSU vs. Hawaii Orange VT vs. WVU Rose USC vs. Kansas [/ QUOTE ] One time. This is exactly what I was thinking/hoping. I like ASU over Illinois because they play in a better conference and have had more national exposure over the year. Plus, they actually won this week and will be ranked higher. Of course, the Rose Bowl wouldn't take ASU, but since OSU is going to the NC game, the Rose Bowl will have the first pick among the at-large teams. Kansas is easily the most attractive nationally and will be selected. Then, it just comes down to Illinois and ASU in the Fiesta and I'm hoping that the Fiesta will take the local team that accomplished something for the first time in the football history of the State of Arizona. |

Florida gets screwed by the no more than 2 BCS teams from one conference rule. So does Missouri. BC and UT drop out due to losses. Hawaii gets automatic bid. Illinois moves up enough to get picked, but would still have to leapfrog several higher ranked teams to get Rose Bowl berth. Fiesta Bowl will likely stiff ASU for economic reasons (fans who don't have to travel don't spend much money). Will a team lose its conference and have a shot at the title?
My head hurts, but in a good way. |

OU vs. KU is an enticing matchup in the Fiesta bowl.
Of course I'm biased as an Illinois student but I personally think: USC vs. Illinois OU vs. KU are pretty enticing matchups. |

I think ASU is most likely to get shafted.
If they make it, then Illinois is out. |

[/ QUOTE ] which means absolutely nothing follow the money Illinois is a bigger alumni network, more connections to Southern Cali, has a bigger tv market in addition to the most important thing that Delaney got the Rose Bowl a sweetheart deal worth lots of money in the last negotiations and is pressuring them to put Illinois in the game follow the money--that's what the bowls are about |
