Default Re: who does tOSU play in the title game?

according to the math here, it's Ohio State and LSU as the two leaders

Of course, Ohio State is the only team that outperformed what one would expect from a #2 team. Every other team underperformed.

+/- compared to a #2
Ohio State +0.212W 0.899p
LSU -0.259W 0.866p
USC -0.263W 0.855p
Georgia -0.288W 0.857p
V Tech -0.577W 0.891p
Oklahoma -0.628W 0.895p

that looks at only wins and losses directly
of course, I'd think margin of victory favors Ohio St and LSU even more

Their most impressive win is against a 19th ranked team, they are Hawaii light.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, it looks like their most impressive team was against a Washington team that marched into Hawaii and pwned the heck out of the Rainbows.

[/ QUOTE ]

Quoted just in case this 14-point lead isn't enough. The last thing I want as my confidence booster is "hey, we're up! That means Brennan has to throw!"

"Oh, [censored]..."

[/ QUOTE ]

Would you like to rethink that whole "pwned the heck" thing?

Thanks for doing this. I guess I was wrong about Va. Tech. I really thought they'd be higher than that.

Not really. I think the game (as well as the rest of their resume really) was more than adequate to show that the Rainbows are nowhere near a BCS calibur team.

Hahahahahahahahahahahah.

Seriously, you did nothing but cut down Hawaii and suck off Washington before the game and when things were going well, and now you say fighting for a tough win where Colt Brennan runs up like 500 yards and 5 TDs is what shows they don't belong?

Basically, you were just making sure you could act like you were right either way. Lame.

No, I could've been wrong if Hawaii had gone out and dominated. That obviously didn't happen.

What do you think their record would've been in any BCS conference? 5-6?

Oklahoma was #1 by Sagarin predictor before they beat Mizzou by 21 today. Also, I think both USC and OU should be given a little extra credit for the fact that debilitating injuries contributed largely to their bad games. If I didn't factor in injuries or MOV at all, then I would also have LSU #2.
