At least there's precedent for missing your conference championship game altogether and still going to the Big Game. Personally, I think that in the current system you should have to be a conference champ to play in the national championship game; however, having a true playoff system is much higher on my priority list than this rule, and if getting UGA into the game helps create enough fan outrage to move things closer to a playoff, than that's what I'm pulling for. |
