Has Anybody Read \"The Power of Body Language\" (non-poker book)
Tonya Reiman is on FNC's O'Reilly Factor talking about body language every week. She's got a book called The Power of Body Language and I'm wondering if anybody here has read it and whether or not they've gotten any practical poker use out of it.
Also, I'd be interested in any reccomendations of non-poker books which can improve your poker game. |

Re: Has Anybody Read \"The Power of Body Language\" (non-poker book)
A lot of people have suggested that Malcolm Gladwell's book "Blink", about the power of intuition and snap decisions, might be applicable to poker. I've read it and haven't found it particularly useful, but many have indicated otherwise.

I haven't read that book, but I have found a couple of other books useful. "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Barbara Peace and Allan Peace was quite useful. I read it because I thought it would be an interesting topic and I've found the information very useful in everyday situations. It is meant for everyday "tells" but if you read throughout you can find some things applicable to the poker scene.
David Lieberman's "You can read anyone" is another one I picked up. This really deals with reading people's answers so if you are a talkative type at the table (or read people as they talk to others) it may be partially relevent. Again, it's not really poker specific, but you can extract the info and add it to your game. Other than that, stick with Read Em and Reap I suppose. |

I've seen her--she's very good. I'll check out the book.
