Interesting Spot: Minimum to call a Shove?
You are on the button, five handed $1/2 game.
UTG (95/2/.5, $52) limps. UTG+1 limps (unknown, $52). You raise to $12 UTG calls. UTG+1 limp/raises all in for $52, and you suspect he has a very wide range as well (any hands he would limp with) UTG is terrible. You guess he is calling all in with any two cards he limps with, which is 95% of hands. So, the pot is effectively $52 + $52 + $12 (your raise) + $2+$1 (blinds) = $119. What range do you call the initial $40 shove with? |

speaking of ranges, on a range of 1 to 10 I understand hotbacon's post around the very lowest end of the range.

Re: Interesting Spot: Minimum to call a Shove?
But since you are getting 3:1 don't you only need very limited equity to make this a decent call? Im not sure the % equity you need, but isn't this close with suited connectors and the type?
