Re: Any Full Tilt regulars on here? NL 200 and NL 100
Wow hello, valuetown.
NFuego, are you happy with how you played your QQ? It seems a bit.. strange to me. |

Re: Any Full Tilt regulars on here? NL 200 and NL 100
I stand by it. I don't claim to have the same or even close to a similar playing style as many of you guys, but to be honest with you I really suspected a set all along from the flop call, plus I felt I had protection in the form of a donk who wasn't folding. I usually trust my reads and they're sometimes wrong. In order for anybody to push me off the best hand, they'd have to stick their neck out to play for most of their stack. That's exactly what Narena did and in this case I gave him too much credit. (However in this case had I bet the turn I'd be surprised if he wouldn't shove right there anyway simply because he picked up the flush draw to go along with his top pair.) But in any case my game is much more about postflop reads than it is aggression. I wouldn't have folded against the muppet for any amount and actually would've kept pushing if Narena had not called after my bet and call. As played, I obviously had to respect Narena's river play and it was an easy fold.

Re: Any Full Tilt regulars on here? NL 200 and NL 100
I'm 99% sure they don't.
It's not necessarily the best option. Some people, me for example, are -EV in tournies, plus the opportunity cost of playing a tourney instead of a cash game. |

Re: Any Full Tilt regulars on here? NL 200 and NL 100
And by the way this is the kind of criticism I was looking for BEFORE the results were posted. Acevader pretty much provided your same view though most likely. Perhaps you just didn't see this until after I posted the results.
When it's all said and done I'm just glad the donk didn't have KJ or AJ because it would make me sick to see all that money go to him. That's my one criticism of the play I guess is just how risky it was with that guy in the pot. But of course Narena possesses the superhuman reading skills that I don't and saw through the donk's soul. |

Re: Any Full Tilt regulars on here? NL 200 and NL 100
NFuego20, don't beat yourself up too much. Narena's river play is actually very good because it forces you into a spot where you'll fold a wide range of hands but at the same time suckers the spaz in the hand into making a curiosity call with a crap hand.
I still stand by a turn bet and I don't think Narena would push it; that doesn't seem to be his style. I think he'd have called a strong bet and I think he'd probably check through on the river hoping his TPGK would be good enough. |

Nah I'm not beating myself up over it. I was originally going to post the hand to give credit for a great play on his part, that's all. I respect your opinion.
