There was a screw on the next slot over that was just barely holding it down. It didn't appear to be touching the video card at all, but it was. Unscrewed that and barely touched the card and it came out. I was seriously about to do some drastic [censored] to get it out.

god that tab on pci-e slots is dumb. you would think that at some point in testing the concept someone would have realized that everyone would end up snapping them off.
