Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
I had this same thing happen to me at Paris in LV this weekend. I didn't really care about it. BUT...There was a time in Oceans 11 where one of the players asked the dealer what the mucked hand was and she showed him (and just him). Neither myself nor the player asking to see the cards were in the hand. That one really ticked me off. I asked the dealer to not do that again.

Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
Plenty of regulars know plenty of dealers. It would be simple to get the info of a mucked hand should the dealer be allowed to continue this.
Tactfully remind him to protect your mucked cards, and not view them. Also, save yourself the tip on the next pot he pushes to you. (I tip well for great service, so there has to be measures for the opposite.) |

I would look the dealer in the eye and ask him "what the h&ll are you doing?". This is so wrong as to be pathetic. You need to nip this in the bud immediately.

Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
Its a little odd-but wtf mention it to the dealer and go on with the hand-did he tell anyone. The stupid brewha ha's that come up in every session are enough to make me want to quit the game- In his interview on rounders the poker show Bobby Hoff said its getting so he cant find a game at the Commerce because of all the A-holes. Have a dealer premature the flop when you flop top set and see how you act-most people have no class at all

I would have no problem telling the dealer that he will never receive a tip from me again.

I have this happen to me often in Australia. So often I thought it wasn't a big deal.

Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
I actually probably wouldn't care, but having said that it's very uncool for a dealer to do.
As a dealer, if I were also a player I'd want to see every hand mucked. One benefit of being a dealer if you're a player is that you get to see a lot of poker being played. The more you know, well.... the more you know. |

Tell him that if he ever does that again, you will kill him.

Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
1) Stand up
2) Remove shirt 3) Remove pants (but not underwear) 4) Find the nearest door frame 5) Hang on said door frame and tell everyone within ear shot that if the dealer looks at your mucked hand again he will be your date to the gun show. the whole scene should look something like this: hope this helps, Steve |

Re: Wow, dealer looks at my mucked hand. Thoughts?
I've had this happed to me before. I don't care, honestly. It's a compliment. To be fair, it may more tolerable if you know the dealer by name, and the dealer knows your name before he or she does this. That was the situation when it happened to me.
We're playing in Bobby's room. |
