($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
Opp's stats were 44/11 over a tiny sample (10 hands). Call or fold to opp's shove? Do I give credit for a runner runner flush or KT?

Re: ($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
I think check calling the river looks good here, its hard to get value from many worse hands by betting, and you spew to the better ones ... check folding is ok too depending on his betsize, as alot of the time you might just be calling to chop
As played in level 1 I think calling off your stack here would not be wise |

Re: ($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
on that kinda river I'ma station, but am learning to fold the 2nd/3rd best hand in the face of an extreme strength..
though, I know, the way I look at it, you only put in 270 and a long tourney ahead, a voice of a clear head would say fold I guess.... |

Re: ($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
Well, being a beginner, it would be hard for me fold, but I guess that's why I am here.
Thinks about the hand... Now that I have thought about the hand, I guess I would fold. Though I must admit, my first instinct would have been to CALL! But that's why I am a beginner! =) |

Re: ($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
You can never call here. I would have check called, but as played you have to hand him the small pot. The size of the pot is key because if you were pretty sure he has a T too, you can't call for the chop. I know that I would be making this push with KT and the flush as your opponent. Naked tens call often enough to make this a very profitable spot to push.

Would raising pf be a bad idea here?

Re: ($27) AT turns a straight, opp shoves on river
I think raising out of position with ATo here is a little loose. I like the limp, if you're fairly sure you can see a cheap flop. I agonize for a bit and fold the river.

I think raising is more than a little loose. I definitely fold this so early.

Good river bet, you need to get value from jacks/queens/2 pair. I'd probably fold to anything besides a minraise. People are not turning made hands into bluffs here and the only draw got there.
