If value bet, do you make a plan against a check raise? - Flop / turn? Especially turn - what hands do we want value from? What are we protecting against? - I guess the bets on flop + turn are too small. Go ahead, convince me why. |

Re: NL100: QQ river flush against a calling station
- Value bet? How much? If value bet, do you make a plan against a check raise?
I'd make a smallish valuebet like $50 that I expect him to call w/ a wide range, I wouldn't be suprised if he's capable of calling w/ 2 pairs here. I'm definitly folding to a check/raise, there's no way he's bluffing or doing this with a worse hand. A calling station that check/raises this river is taking you to value town w/ the ace of hearts every time. - Flop / turn? Especially turn - what hands do we want value from? What are we protecting against? I'm betting this 100% of the time vs. described player, because he's probably calling the flop w/ any ace, possibly any king, definitly any pair, any gutshot etc. We want to get value / charge him to draw. - I guess the bets on flop + turn are too small. Go ahead, convince me why. I think they're OK even though I'd probably be $42 or so on the turn, because he's a calling station, so take him to value town. |
