Sick push from a multitabling reg
I have villain at 16/10/3 over ~220 hands.. He's a winning player, but extremely straightforward most of the time from what I've seen up to this point.. Haven't seen him limp much and definitely haven't seen him pull off stuff like this... I'm running at 24/21 in that session, but this a bit above mye average...
FullTiltPoker Game (6 max) - $0.10/$0.25 - No Limit Hold'em - Seat 1: Button($19.60) Seat 2: SB ($20.75) Seat 3: BB (Hero) ($66.45) Seat 4: UTG ($31.35) Seat 5: MP (Villain) ($34.35) Seat 6: CO ($21.60) *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to dizzyphantom [J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] UTG folds MP calls $0.25 CO calls $0.25 BTN folds SB calls $0.15 Hero checks *** FLOP *** [7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] SB checks Hero bets $0.80 Villain calls $0.80 2 folds *** TURN *** [7d 8s Tc] [9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] Hero bets $2 Villain raises to $33.30, and is all in Hero? |

Re: Sick push from a multitabling reg
JQ beats us. That's it. Can't see a multitabling reg call with an inside straight draw on the flop, then overshove when his draw hits. Easy call.
He could do this with a set, top 2, or possibly even the 6 for a low straight (donk play). J9 or J10 also. Prolly a split. |

Re: Sick push from a multitabling reg
I disagree on the range ur giving villain here, sets and top two wud never be played like this by this specific villain... The likelyhood of him calling with a gutshot on the flop isn't extremely big, but especially because of the table dynamics (I've been very active) it can't be ruled out... I think it's possible for villain to shove the nuts on the turn if he sees me as a thinking opponent..

Re: Sick push from a multitabling reg
I snap-fold this, as you are just calling for the split pot anyways. Its not worth tossing a whole buy-in in the middle w/out the nut when you are expecting to split. a 16/10 would never ever ever do this with 2pr/set.

Agreed... Didn't exactly snap-fold, but folded and not in doubt about making the right decision... Just surprising to see such a straight-forward player all of a sudden pulling stuff like this..

Re: Sick push from a multitabling reg
if he knows he's viewed as straightforward by you, he may think this is the way to get paid off (getting "out of line").

Re: Sick push from a multitabling reg
I don't see villain doing this with a hand we beat, pot is small, and we'll only split or lose.
Easy, easy fold. And flop is an easy call for villain for villain with a gutshot and two overs if he has QJ. You're even a little deep. |
