Re: classic movies u\'d like to see remade
This thread makes me sad. Unless the original movie was especially bad or did some injustice to the book it was based upon movies should not be re-made. Just focus on having an original idea.

[ QUOTE ]
Rocky and Die Hard are still great movies. Hell, their main actors just made sequels within the past few years to those same movies. [/ QUOTE ] That's exactly my point. I guess I used the wrong wording, but what movies would make the best "sequals", such as rocky and die hard. I would like to see a ghostbusters sequal. |

Re: classic movies u\'d like to see remade
Why would you went to see good movies remade?
I don't mind all remakes, sometimes theres a good reason to revisit a certain concept or character or something, or do a new adaptation of a common source, like a novel or play, but that's not really a remake. But I don't understand trying to re-do a movie that got it right. |

Re: classic movies u\'d like to see remade
I can't think of any really. The preservation of the technique and technology of the time is a huge part of the enjoyment for me in older films.
In remakes too people expect so much, much of it being quirky little personal wants that when it comes to be it's usually a huge letdown. I find myself wasting tons of time wishing and thinking about how certain classic videogames could be remade though, I lost sleep the other night thinking about a modern version of Crono Trigger. I'm really cool. |
