What is the group dynamic in jail. Did you associate with all kinds of different groups or hang out mostly with the white guys?

How's the food?

Anything you learn on the inside that is helpful on the outside?

Craziest, scariest or must f- up thing you saw inside?

tuq- I find the differing responses between this thread and the DUI idiot's thread illustrative.

Also, seriously, jury nullification?

I would seroiously like to know why you think I broke the law.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, there are a lot of pieces of evidence, but I'd say the number one piece would be your guilty plea.

I don't mean to make this a tangent and I'm mostly upset at the sheer idiocy displayed by some of the respondents rather that anything you did. You seem to be handling it well.

Ah, [censored] it, tangent away. I realize the official [censored] position on enforcement of laws is "I deserve to get away with everything I do", but come on. Does anyone deserve to go to jail?

If I posted a thread "Going to jail in a week, molested too many kids" would you be posting "Tough to hear that bro, next time kill the little bastards. [censored] tha police"?

I realize that like half of twoplustwo's userbase are trust fund babies who have been getting out of trouble with the help of a high-priced lawyer since their mid-teens and are thus completely unfamiliar with the concept of "consequences", but in both cases OP broke the law. In one case it was a 20 year old with a substance abuse problem, the other a 32 year old with no excuse but greed(well, that and "everyone else was doing it"). If either of them deserve sympathy it's the other guy.

Thanks for the "you broke the law and crime doesn't pay!" spiel, Judge Dredd, we're all very entertained

Nothing I have posted is any "evidence" that I broke a law. That is why a "good" or even a "not bad" jury is so important. I believe you had some preconceived notions of my guilt from what you read. Imagine what a jury looking at 4 30 yr olds, driving expensive cars and living in nice places might think after the DA presents a case. "Well they're here aren't they".

The plea was not me giving a summary of what I did what I did, but the judge asking me questions to respond yes or no to. My lawyer told me what will happen and I should respond affirmatively or the deal will not go through. The judge did not ask me anytthing involving stock promotion, not that it would have made a difference, at that point I would have said that I was responsible for 9-11.

Thanks for saying that I am holding up well. This is the thing that still hurts from the whole experience. The people who fully believe that I got a raw deal are those close to me and those who worked there. Most assume "musta did something".

FWIW during the almost 2 years I was with that company I made $75,000 year 1 and $100k the second all reported.

If you went through the whole trial and then was convicted I might have some symphathy. But, you did plead guilty so something you did would smell as being illegal. But, of course, another inmate who is innocent. I have met jillions of them and laugh. Oh, I realize that there are some innocent people in prison but definitely a very small minority. And again, a very small minority took a plea although most of them were guilty of something.

Illustrative of what? The tendency to come down harder on a 3 time DUI user than a guy involved w/ stock fraud?
