3-handed.
stacks: $1200 no special reads, but he's ~ 27/22/3 Preflop he opens to $30 I call in sb with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, he bets $50 and hero check/raise to $155. My friend told me this is a bad c/r, I thought it was extremely standard???? wtf? |

Re: wtf @ my friend?
i dont really like PF
as for the flop, i think what your friend is trying to say is that your range for doing this is massively weighted towards draws and thus is not really balanced. you cant rep lots of queens (like QTs/QJs) and you might well coldcall with 88, i think c/c is a valid option here. |

Re: wtf @ my friend?
yeah, its way better as a bluff, since when you get 3bet, pretty much all your options suck. (e.g. when getting it in, you wont be drawing to more than ~7 outs very often)

Re: wtf @ my friend?
c/c is better than c/r because you have showdown value already and you may get bluffed off your equity here. What if he is pushing, are you calling?
I usually 3-bet preflop. |

Re: wtf @ my friend?
Are we checkraising KJ[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or JT[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]?

Re: wtf @ my friend?
[ QUOTE ]
so our c/r range is... pure bluffs only? [/ QUOTE ] you should seek to balance your ranges at any time. meaning a ch/r here should be a draw, a bluff and something like 88 or QJ equaly often. |
