Re: tons of spot like this
A standard size bet from the button, continuation bet (slightly large tho) and then nothing on the turn. An overpair is all he is really fearing here, maybe you could have hit that board if youre stealing on the button, maybe. But it is a pretty profitable bet for him to make on the river if youre never gonna come back at him. I am tempted to do this for value, as well as to show (if he is observant) that I wont be pushed around

Re: tons of spot like this
for those saying double barrel, the 6 is not the card to do it on.
call riv with a read i.e. blocks rivers with missed draws etc. no read, i fold. |

Re: tons of spot like this
I really really don't like double-barreling the turn. How does the 6 change anything? Shouldn't a large chunk of Villain's range be mid pairs and suited connectors...which albeit infrequently this card could help? Any small pocket pair which the 6 would be an over-card to picked up an open-straight draw.
I also disagree with the post that you should bet the turn if you think you're good on the river. This is incorrect if you think the Villain will be betting the river as a bluff 100% of the time...or close to that. As for the river in this case. I'd fold. |
