200 NLHE FR
Hero ($176) is BB with Qc-Qs UTG+2 ($375) limps, MP ($195) limps, SB ($232) limps, Hero raises to $10, UTG+2 calls, MP calls, SB folds Flop 7d-8h-10h (Pot: $32) Hero bets $24, UTG+2 folds, MP minraises to $48, Hero?? I am getting into this position very very often with overpairs lately at this level. It's such a bad spot to be in with the minraise here. I had just gotten to the table. What do you do readless here? I pretty much hate every option: folding seems weak, calling seems like just waiting for him to take it away on the turn, raising seems spewy. Advice? |

Shove. Your raise preflop should be grounds for banning lol. $14

Well, much of the time here a limp/call pre and a min-raise on the flop (from an unknown) following a strong continuation bet is 77/88.
With no stats on an opponent I guess it really comes down to what's you default play against an unknown? Believe them and fold- or shove? |

Definitely get this in with the board texture. Make it $12 preflop.

Raise more preflop ($14) I'd actually bet more on the flop too, since the SPR is good for an overpair to get it in here. (raising more preflop makes this easier postflop, also). I'd say the standard range here is 77/88/99, 2 heart overs and maybe 89s. Given you stack size, I'd say this is a pretty easy push, unless villain is super passive.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with where you're going here...unless he's making this play against you often then this is probably a fold. You're either a slim favorite or a big dog against the bulk of his range so I wouldn't be looking to play for stacks here. |

raise more preflop => avoid tough decisions like this => profit => get women => die?

So either his range is crushing us to a two-outer or it's about a flip? So why shove? [/ QUOTE ] His range is like an infinitum of hands here. Turn decisions will usually be incredibly difficult and admit many possible mistakes on our part. Try stoving against this range. I'm pretty sure we're ahead here. 78s, 89s, 9Ts, 97s, T8s, J9s, 77s, 88s, 99s, AT, KT, QT, JT, AhXh, JhQh, KhQh, 6h7h, 7h9h, 5h4h |
