The finish was good for 67th place [/ QUOTE ] this is why she is a moron, there are plenty of competitive situations where trying to get up after your leg breaks could seem justified, risking greater injury to finish in 67th place is not one of them |

who wouldn't say this during the interview? [/ QUOTE ] It was probably the truth. Jesus, I never realized so many people in a sports forum obviously have never played sports before. If you've never tried to play through something to be competitive or help your team you would probably reply with "wow she's dumb" or "who wouldn't say that?" Luckily, 2P2's ability to ruin any story is thankfully intact. |

I'm willing to bet more than 1 out of every 2 people in this situation would crawl to the finish line. I don't consider this to be that incredible of a story. Sorry.

[/ QUOTE ] I kinda agree with this, though I think your proportions are a little bit off. It's still a decent human interest piece, and it reminded me of this story, which chokes me up when I think about it. |

[/ QUOTE ] How about one out of two people would stop maybe the second time they heard a crack coming from their leg during the race? Guess she had the "runner's high?" |

Ummm, do ya think?
Yes, runners already train themselves to keep going through pain and through every single thing in their body telling them to stop. I'm amazed at a lot of runners honestly. |

Ok, I have reconsidered my opinion. This was a very stupid move on her part. But I am very much impressed with the grit and determination it took even though it was a stupid move.

[ QUOTE ] To the original post: Anyone who thinks this girl is dumb obv. never played sports before. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Maybe you guys dont know what "dumb" means? I mean, lots of people do brave, gritty, tough-minded things that are extremely dumb. No one is saying she is a pussy. She is tough, this was tough, she is a warrior, blah blah blah blah. The only reason that every guy in the NFL isnt a gigantic retard is because they get big fat paychecks. She risked permanent disability to finish a race. That is both brave and very dumb. |
