OP,
Maybe a visual representation will help. Seems fair. As long as you get to enjoy those eight months, [censored] him for the other four, right? |

Re: looking to get a small house dog
[ QUOTE ]
small house dogs are basically genetic freaks that have no evolutionary purpose, they were bred so stuck up bitches from the upper east side can have someone to talk to when their relatives get sick of them. never buy a dog that can't win a fight against most rodents. they are also mostly stupid and yappy and prone to weird illnesses because they have been inbred so much. [/ QUOTE ] yup I have a golden and its by far the best dog I've ever seen, guess I got really lucky. He's huge and really happy and friendly and fluffy, pretty much the greatest animal on earth but don't get a dog. |

Re: looking to get a small house dog
Definitely don't get a dog, and probably don't get any animal for that matter. It's really cruel to an animal to give it a home then ditch it 4 months out of the year.

Re: looking to get a small house dog
Stay away from pet stores. The easiest way to find a dog is here:
http://www.petfinder.com/ You can find a ton of dogs available from a local humane society or shelter. You'll know that it's healthy and up to date on it's shots. If you want, you can skip the puppy stage and find yourself a nice dog that's already housetrained and knows the basic commands. As far as what type of small dog to get, I have no clue. I'm not a fan of small dogs. I know money's not an issue for you, but if you find a nice dog at the humane society, it should cost less than $200. I got my last dog for $105. |

Don't get a cat. Cats are only for women and gay men.

Re: looking to get a small house dog
Fiery,
If you get a dog, please look strongly at James Boston's choice, the Boston Terrier. 10x better than a Yorkie, wont shed, better dog all around. |
