Your logic is that if someone has Jewish heroes than he is not anti-semitic. And it is correct that having racist/anti-semitic friends does not make you racist. Most of my friends at school were racist. I am positively not.

The last time I remember aggressively denouncing a friend for being racist was when my friend made chit-chat with the only black guy at our school, then when he left the room, called him a 'f-ing n--ger'. Thats possibly the most aggrevating form of racism there is.
