Re: How much do the experts remember
Ya, I was thinking something along the lines of a program that can flash a configurable amount of card images. For example you could set it to show you 10 cards, 1 at a time in 1 second intervals and then you have to pick which cards they were from a display of all 52 cards and you get scored on how many you get right. Or, you could set it to show you bundles of cards in 5 second intervals, etc.

Re: How much do the experts remember
First look at your hand and see if it's even worth playing, check suits, and make any observations about certain cards that may affect your hand or cards that are dead.
however, i usually don't even do that because its hard if your playing multiple tables and given the busto stakes i'm playing right now its not necessary to win |

Re: How much do the experts remember
The great chess master Reti published a chess book which had the chessboard set up in its initial position on its front cover. The legend underneath it read: a difficult position.
On being asked how many moves ahead he calculated, he replied: one. |

It's a photograph I took a long time ago, in kind of a weird series. It's kind of been my... emblem.

Re: How much do the experts remember
The mud pie stuff did not turn out as well as I wanted it to. I think I ended up using it in a design course, laying it out into kind of a traditional 1-page illustrated recipe, a la Betty Crocker or whatever.
The blue/yellow stuff was just a fun thing I did once though. I did a lot more of them, actually actually sold quite a few of them. |

Re: How much do the experts remember
How Much? 100%, anything less represents a weakness in your game. See Doc AZ post in the FAQ. Still need help, PM in a week for a great drill. Failure in this area is usually blamed on Variance, so you have the perfect excuse if the 100% is not meet. GL

Re: How much do the experts remember
I wonder if it's harder at low stakes. At .5/1 stud/8 it's not uncommon to have 5 people see 4th. Obviously I don't need to remember their upcard, until they decide to fold 4th or 5th and now I have like 15 cards to remember instead of 7. But so far it does not really seem to be all that required plus many of these guys play and 3 so trying to puzzle out their hand is largely a waste of time.
